There’s nothing better than the house smelling like Challah French Toast on a Saturday or Sunday morning!
Now you can too! It’s so easy!
Ingredients:
- One loaf of Challah (One Loaf serves 4 (two generous slices each))
- 5 eggs
- 1/4 c whole milk (rice or almond is fine as well)
- Dash of vanilla extract
- Dash of cinnamon
- Dash of almond extract
- 2 T brown sugar
- 2 T Canola Oil
- Maple syrup
Directions:
1. Cut Challah in generous slices, then in a big bowl whip eggs,milk, vanilla, cinnamon, almond together and soak slices in mixture.
2. Heat oil in large skillet on medium heat, add brown sugar, liquify, then add slices to skillet. Lower heat so not to burn, make sure each side cooks through, flipping over a few times.
3. Heat Maple Syrup on low, serve over Challah French Toast!
Options: Heat up pecans in skillet to brown, add. Add blueberries, cut strawberries or sliced bananas.
