Push to extend “Seventeen” “body peace treaty”
Seventeen magazine has a new ‘body peace treaty,” after an online petition drive. The magazine agreed to show images of teens and women as they really are, without editing photos to make subjects look better. Now, two New York teens, Carina Cruz and Emma Stydahar, are turning their attention to Teen Vogue magazine, and have launched a similar campaign in the hopes that Teen Vogue will also pledge “not to alter any model’s body or face and to celebrate beauty in all its forms.” They spoke to Rebecca Jarvis and Anthony Mason, along with supermodel and body image coach Emme, on “CBS This Morning: Saturday.”
